Our Lady of the Cape Shrine is not only a sacred place but also a major international touristic site thanks to the beauty of its surrounding environment and the events that have taken place for the past 100 years.

The Feast of the Assumption is the culmination of the pilgrimage season. Each year, the shrine welcomes thousands of pilgrims during the Assumption of Mary on August 15.

Since 2002, Noël en Lumière is a leading event for winter tourism in the region. From the middle of December until the beginning of January, tourists from abroad visit the shrine to walk throughout its paths, which are decorated with thousands of lights. Activities, including concerts, exhibits, activities for the family, and a Christmas stroll, also take place.

The Shrine’s complete calendar of activities and events can be found by visiting its web site at: www.sanctuaire-ndc.ca.
