The gardens of Our Lady of the Cape Shrine are located on the banks of the Saint Lawrence River.

A series of trails, including one that runs along Sainte-Marie Lake, are wonderful spots for taking a stroll. Visitors can cross the Rosary Bridge, which was built in commemoration of the ice bridge that formed on the Saint Lawrence river in 1879 and which allowed the transportation of the stones needed for the construction of the new church.

The gardens also feature a Way of the Cross, a reproduction of Christ's tomb, identical to the one found in the Basilica of the Holy Sepulcher, in Jerusalem, a Calvary and a natural spring water source, from which pilgrims can collect water, have it blessed and keep it as a souvenir of their visit to the shrine.
